  1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 1011 by Tom Powell.
  2. Review Minutes from 12/14/15
  3. Tom Powell notices that there is one mistake in the 12/14/15 meeting minutes. Katelyn to update the next business meeting date to 1/11/16.
    Michael Westphal moves to accept the 12/14/15 meeting minutes as corrected. Mark Alley seconds the motion. Vote: Yes, unanimous. Motion Passes.

  5. Checking Account Balance as of January 2016 $1,944.14 :
    Expenses: $22.50- Annual Safe Deposit Box Fee
    Income:

  7. a. 501 (c) 3 Update:
    No new news since December.
    b. GCIVFD Pumper
    Katelyn is working on getting drawings of the pumper submitted for the town report.
    Katelyn and Richard Howland to give a presentation at town meeting for the truck. Katelyn to speak with Barb about building in time for a short presentation at town meeting.
    c. GCIVFD Dry Hydrant
    Katelyn Damon moves to table this item until May 2016. Mark Alley seconds the motion. Vote: Yes, Unanimous. Motion Passes.
    d. Turnout Gear Purchase
    Katelyn has discovered that the original brand of turnout gear chosen to be purchased does not allow for customized sizing as needed.
    Katelyn suggests going with Lion Brand gear which is fully customizeable.
    The new brand is a little bit more expensive than the first gear chosen- by $78 per person.
    Michael Westphal moves to spend up to $78 more than the original specified amount of $3,000 per person on turnout gear. Mark Alley seconds the motion. Vote: Yes, Unanimous. Motion Passes
    e. Heat Pump
    The heat pump has been installed.
    Katelyn Damon moves to spend up to $1,000 for a snow cover to be added to the side of the GCIVFD truck bay to deflect snow from the top of the heat pump compressor. Vote: Yes, Unanimous. Motion Passes

  8. New Business:
  9. a. GCIVFD Insulating.
    RFP is not complete at this time.

  10. Other Business
    Tom would like to do some organizing at the GCIVFD. Tom has a label maker and Tom & Katelyn will meet on 1/18/16 to work on organizing.
  11. Setting of Action Items
  12. a. Katelyn to order turnout gear.
    b. Mike to build a snow guard for the heat pump.
    c. Katelyn & Richard to work on a town meeting presentation for the GCIVFD Pumper.
    d. Katelyn to work on an RFP for insulation at the GCI Firehouse.
    e. Tom to work on finding Nick Barton turnout gear.
