  1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 1630 pm by David Thomas.
  2. Review Minutes from March 09, 2016:
  3. Bruce Fernald moves to approve the meeting minutes from March 09, 2016 as written. David Thomas seconded the motion. Vote; Yes, unanimous. Motion Passes.

  4. Financial Report:
  5. Checking account balance as of 3/31/16: $14,590.99
    Data Base Systems: $58.59
    CMFAS: $300
    Interest: $0.62
    Checking account balance as of 4/11/16: $14,233.02
    David Thomas moves to approve the treasurer’s report as written. James Amuso
    seconded the motion. Vote: Yes, Unanimous. Motion Passes.

  7. a. Driver Training:
    Members needing to complete driver training:

    Members needing to complete training can drive with Jim Amuso, Cory Alley or Richard Howland- ASAP!
    b. Cistern Update:
    Connections fixed
    Katelyn to speak with Jim Fortune in regard to using the crushed stone that is currently in the town gravel pit.
    Culvert to be installed around dry hydrant and filled with crushed stone to add support.
    Katelyn to order the following items from EBS/ Salsbury Farms
    Straw for laying on grass seed.
    Grass seed
    Latex exterior paint for painting white dry hydrant and vents
    Landscaping fabric
    c. Turnout Gear Purchase
    Waiting for delivery.
    d. Line Painting
    e. Fail Safe Ladder & Hose Testing
    The IVFD pumper is set to go off on July 15 for hose and ladder testing.
    The department will also pump test off island on the same day.
    Some work needs to be done to engineer the flume and since the truck is already going off- this seems like a good chance to pump test.

  8. New Business:
  9. a. Annual Pump Testing
    Discussed under old business.
    b. Hard Suction Stand Purchase
    Some discussion on purchasing saw horses to help support the hard suction line while the tanker is drafting from the cistern.
    Differing opinions on what to do.
    No decision made.
    c. Hard Suction line purchase
    Discussion on purchasing another section of hard suction due to differences in storz connections on current hard suction.
    Duct tape should solve the issue- by marking which hard suction can connect where on cistern and truck.

  10. Other Business:
  11. a. Wildland
    We have wildland training in May.
    Jim will put together a list of equipment to be purchase for Cranberry/ Islesford and Sutton.
    Katelyn will order the equipment.
    b. Darley Pump
    Cory & Jim to work on the tune up of the Darley trailer pump.
