  4. a. Fairpoint Contact Update:
Fairpoint has expressed interest in upgrading their equipment within the Cranberry Isles. The Island Institute and the BWG will continue to stay in contact with Fairpoint. There is the possibility of reaching out for ConnectME grants in 2017 which would require matching funds.
They are upgrading equipment on Great Cranberry which will be finalized in coming months.
    b. Wireless Providers Contact Update:
Jim McKenna of Redzone is also interested in keeping his partnership with the Town of Cranberry Isles.
There is a lot of research and development that needs to take place before the BWG can recommend to the Board of Selectmen which provider will be able to offer the best service to the town.
Once this research has been completed, the town can reach out for ConnectME funds and firm up a partnership with an internet provider.
The goal is to apply for ConnectME funds in April of 2017, after the Town of Cranberry Isles 2017 town meeting where matching funds will be appropriated.
