  1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 1631 by Thomas Powell.
  2. Review Minutes from 12/12/16
  3. Richard Howland moves to accept the December 12, 2016 meeting minutes as written. Michael Westphal seconds the motion. Vote: Yes, unanimous. Motion Passes.

  4. Financial Report:
  5. Checking & Savings Account Balance as of 9/12/16: $12,954.33
    $1,000.00- Astor Street Foundation
    Checking account balance as of 1/1/17: 10,327.53
    Savings account balance as of 1/1/17: 4902.04
    Total: $15,229.57
    Richard Howland moves to accept the treasurer’s report. Katelyn Damon seconded the motion. Vote: Yes, unanimous. Motion Passes.

  6. Old Business:
  7. a. 501 (c) 3 Update:
    Waiting to hear from attorney on determination.
    b. GCIVFD Pumper
    There is a check engine light on in the truck. International and E-One seem to think that it is a dummy light. Trying to sort out a tech visit. Most equipment has been mounted.
    c. GCIVFD Smart TV & Router Purchase-
    TV is at the GCIVFD. Mike will mount it.

  8. New Business:
  9. a. New Truck Training 1/14/17
    Training will start at 9am at GCI Fire.
    All department members present will remind any others that they see.
    Katelyn has spoken with Alan Joseph of Coastal Energy and has come up with a plan to get Diesel fuel to Great Cranberry for the new truck.
    b. CPR/ OSHA- 1/21/17
    A CPR class will start at 0900 on GCI on 1/21/17.
    Lunch will be served and then our annual OSHA training will take place at 1:00pm on 1/21/17 at GCI Fire.

  10. Other Business
  11. a. MBOL SafetyWorks!
    Katelyn had a MBOL SafetyWorks! Representative do an inspection of GCI fire to see what we were and were not complying with for the Maine Bureau of Labor Compliance Directives.
    Some things need to be updated at the department-
    1. Emergency lighting
    2. Door handle upgrades
    3. Mount 1 fire extinguisher
    4. Duplication of a few records between IVFD & GCIVFD
    5. Strain Relief plugs for trucks
    6. Out of service equipment tags

  12. Setting of Action Items
  13. Diesel fuel to Cranberry.
    Mike to mount the new TV.
    Katelyn to coordinate SafetyWorks! corrections
