GCIVFD Meeting Minutes 3/13/17

  1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 1633 by Thomas Powell.
  2. Review Minutes from January 09, 2017
  3. Katelyn Damon tells everyone that she needs to update the attendance record of attendance from the previous meeting. The number of members present does not match the list.
    Michael Westphal moves to accept the January 09, 2017 meeting minutes as amended. Tom Powell seconds the motion. Vote: Yes, unanimous. Motion Passes.

    Mark Alley moves to accept the treasurer’s report. Branden Stubbs seconded the motion. Vote: Yes, unanimous. Motion Passes.

  6. Old Business:
  7. a. 501 (c) 3 Update:
    Katelyn has not received an update in some time.
    Katelyn will reach out to the town’s Attorney as well as tax attorney, Dan Pitman, for an update.
    b. GCIVFD Pumper
    Katelyn is working with E-One to fix the check engine light.
    It appears to be a faulty coolant temperature thermostat based on the reports that the GeoTab sends out.

  8. New Business:
  9. a. GCIVFD Station Modifications
    Katelyn has been working with David Rackliff to finish modifications to the fire department to help modify storage.
    Modifications include:
    i. Hard Suction Storage
    ii. Gear Storage
    iii. Chimney Cap
    iv. Strain Reliefs on truck outlets
    v. Emergency lighting
    vi. Emergency egress modifications

  10. Town Meeting
  11. Successful town meeting
    Katelyn will work on starting new projects; re-grading ambulance bay, Cascade system.
    Training Schedule
    Katelyn presents a new training schedule. This will be posted online.
    Tom Powell suggests that Katelyn contract Chris Connor who is an MFSI instructor to see if he will come out for a training.

  12. Other Business
  13. There are two new residents who have moved to Great Cranberry. They are interested in joining the department.
